Ill worker and minister lose appeal in long service case

In the second of two similar cases in a matter of days, a worker who was dismissed because of his illness has been denied long service leave payments, despite pointing out the "absurd" fact that he would have been entitled to the benefit if he had beaten his employer to the punch and resigned.
