Frequently Asked Questions

What are my login details?

OHS Alert logins require the email address and password associated with your subscription.

If you have forgotten your password, you can request a reset link here. This will be sent instantly (depending on mail traffic this may take up to 30 minutes to receive). Please check your junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox.

How do I change my password?

When you are logged in (see the first point above if you require your login details) click on "Account settings" under your name at the top of the website, then "change password".

How often are email alerts sent? How do I change the frequency of them?

We offer three email frequencies: "Instant" (one email alert for every article we publish, our default setting); "Daily" (one daily email, delivered each afternoon, including links to the articles published in the previous 24 hours); and "Weekly" (one weekly email, delivered each Friday morning, including links and headlines to all the articles published in the previous seven days).

To view your current settings, log in to OHS Alert (see point 1 if you require your login details) and click on "Account settings" under your name at the top of the website. Select your preferred email frequency and then "save settings".

Can I change the email address that OHS Alert emails are sent to?

Can I forward OHS Alert email alerts?

No - forwarding an email alert from OHS Alert jeopardises your privacy and the security of your subscription details. This could, for example, allow others to post content under your name. Visit our terms and conditions to see our fair usage policy for sharing content, or contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Can I share my login details with my co-workers?

No - doing so jeopardises the security of the information you've provided, and can allow others to post content or make purchase orders under your name.

Can I publish a OHS Alert article on my website, blog, or newsletter?

If you wish to reproduce a OHS Alert article please email our shared inbox for permission, or call +61 2 9267 3800.

What's OHS Alert's editorial process?

OHS Alert will consider all forms of submissions: emails, press releases, phone calls, carrier pigeons – all we need to know is 'who, what, when, where, why', and we can look after the reporting side. Give us a call on +61 2 9267 3800, or email our shared inbox. OHS Alert operates like any other mainstream news publication and, as such, we don't accept any payment for coverage and all editorial is written by our in-house journalists, who are governed by a strict editorial policy, along with the Journalists' Code of Ethics.

We don't send out articles for review prior to publication because, as journalists, we can only claim to be independent and unbiased if our reporting is free from the influence of third parties. In some newsrooms, it's a sackable offence to allow someone you're quoting to inspect an article, and while we're not quite that strict here, there are very few occasions where it's appropriate for us to allow people to review what we've written. If, however, you are concerned about something you've said during an interview, we are happy to read your quotes back to you or send you a transcription of the relevant parts.

How do I unsubscribe?

We'll be sad to see you go, however if you'd like to unsubscribe yourself from OHS Alert, there are four methods to choose from.
