Workers' compensation death benefits are being doubled in Western Australia, but the State Government has declined to comment on the new workers' comp Act, which has been in the drafting phase for three years.
The new Western Australian Government could amend its draft WHS laws to include union-led prosecutions and 20-year jail terms for recklessness, and attempt to block the expansion of the Comcare scheme, Labor Party policy documents show.
Australian Standards incorporated into work safety laws and other legislation could become freely available to ensure all duty holders can view and comply with them.
