Suspended HSR wins major adverse action case

Visy Packaging Pty Ltd took adverse action against an HSR because he exercised his workplace right to "tag" two defective forklifts - less than two months after it urged employees to adopt a "zero tolerance" approach to unsafe practices, the Federal Court has found.

SA's WHS Act could be "centuries away", says exasperated MLC

It has taken the South Australian Parliament 78 weeks to agree on the first two clauses of its WHS Bill, suggesting it could be another 207 years before the new laws take effect, according to a fed-up Greens MLC, who is also pushing for stronger HSR training entitlements.
