Mum and widow win declaration on Pike River's CEO

A safety regulator unlawfully allowed Pike River Coal's Australian CEO to pay a $3.41 million reparation bill - through his insurance policy - in lieu of being prosecuted in relation to 29 deaths, New Zealand's highest court has found.
