New firefighter cancer Bill a "slap in the face" for volunteers

The South Australian Government today will formerly introduce its workers' comp cancer Bill for career firefighters, which, unlike a nearly identical Greens Bill currently before Parliament, provides no cover for the State's 13,500 firefighting volunteers. FWC bullying plan delayed, while Queensland changes worker definition

Asbestos register flagged as worker killed at NBN site

Narrower "worker" definition in workers' comp Act supported by Dept
